YOUR INHERITANCE IS SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL

“Your boundary lines mark out pleasant places for me. Indeed, my inheritance is something beautiful”. (Psalm 16:6 GWT)
The truth is that we have not known yet as we ought to know. Therefore, we must desire to know. Our hearts must be filled with a hunger to know all that Christ purchased for us on the cross.
As a child of God, there is something that you inherited, as a result of your connection to Him. The death, burial and resurrection of Jesus provided for us a good and beautiful inheritance.
We have been redeemed from the curse. And we are blessed. The King James Version of the quoted text says “…I have a goodly heritage”. So, what is a goodly heritage? What exactly is he talking about? The word ‘goodly’ means something good. Something that is substantial in size and in amount. It means something that is fine in appearance, of good quality, beautiful and glorious. Every adjective in the foregoing describes the nature and quality of the believer’s heritage.
So, when you talk about goodly, you talk about something that is good. It is not bad! It is something that is substantial in size. It is not penny-pinching. Your heritage is heavy! It is heavy-duty. Your heritage is beautiful and glorious. And heritage is what comes to you by virtue of your birthright. Beloved, by virtue of your birth in Christ, you have inherited something beautiful. In Christ, you have an inherited lot or portion. In Christ, there is something that is reserved for you by law. It is yours by virtue of whose you are. It is your birthright! No one can take it away from you!
In other words, when you were born into the Kingdom of God, you became an heir to a beautiful heritage. By that very operation of the Holy Spirit, you were automatically born into something good and beautiful! Therefore, it can never be bad for you. So, stop walking about as if God is struggling to make something good for you. You are already blessed with a beautiful heritage.
