YOU BELONG TO GOD
By Bishop Mike Okonkwo

“Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.” 2 Corinthians 1:22 (KJV)

When you received Christ in your life, God appropriated and acknowledged you as His by putting His seal upon you! There is a seal over your life. There is a price over you, and now you belong to God. You do not belong to the devil. You do not belong to sickness! You do not belong to disease. You do not belong to anything that hell has to offer. You have been sealed to progress in life. You have been sealed to advance, sealed to expand, and sealed to increase. You are sealed and kept secret from whatever the devil is doing. The King of kings has sealed you, and no one can reverse it. It is a settled matter. The seal of God over your life nullifies the agenda of the devil.

Everyone who has received Christ as his Lord and Saviour has the Holy Spirit living inside him as a down payment. That is the evidence that we belong to God. That is what it is! The seal is a guarantee, a certification, and an authorization that we belong to God. So, no one can touch you except the One who owns you and authorizes it.

It is important that you know this truth. The knowledge of this truth produces confidence in you. When you are walking in the midst of fire, you have a kind of confidence that somehow the fire will not burn you because you know in whom you have believed. You can walk boldly! You can boldly make demands on your covenant without any intimidation because you know that you belong to God. You carry His seal of ownership in you.

When you catch this revelation, there is a way you walk with God. And there is a way it affects you when the devil comes after you. You will be calm in the midst of the storms. You will be calm because you know that you are not going to go under in the midst of the storm. After all, God is with you.
