YOU BELIEVE TO BECOME

“Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.” (John 20:29 KJV)

Thomas was told that Christ had risen. He said until I put my hands in his nail print, I won’t believe it. Jesus came and said to him, Thomas, it is because you have seen me that you believe, but blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe. What they heard, they believed, they believed what the scriptures told them.

The attitude of Thomas is the behaviour of many believers. The bible is saying that you are a new creation but you are saying my reality is not in line with what the scriptures is saying. Simply because you have not seen yourself changed, that is why you do not believe God in your life. The way it works is that you must first believe, and then you will see the manifestation. Your lifestyle will never change until you first believe what Jesus did for you.

He calls you righteous! Yes, you MAY not look like it, but the first thing is to believe that is who you are. This is how it works, this is how grace works. You accept that you are righteous by virtue of the fact that you were made so, not because you did anything to qualify. Grace is undeserved, unmerited and unearned. You will accept it then the Spirit of truth will now work on your behalf, The Spirit of truth will not work if you do not first believe as a believer.

What God is saying in effect is that when you open the scriptures, you must look for Jesus because as He is so are we, here in this world; not when we get to heaven. He went to hell, He defeated the devil, and He now rose up from the dead triumphant. The region of the dead could not hold Him down. He is now seated, having completed the work. You are more than a conqueror.
