YOU ARE SHIELDED FROM EVIL

“I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.” (John 17:15 KJV)
Jesus prayed to the Father concerning the church. And the prayer was not for us to be taken out so that we can escape the violence and the trouble that pervades our society. No! He said to God, keep them from evil. And how are we going to be kept from evil and the wickedness of this world? The answer is in John 17:17 (KJV) “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” (KJV). The word sanctify means separate them unto yourself. While the evil is happening, separate them with thy truth. How? Thy word is truth. In other words, something can be a fact but not the truth.
Yes, we are in this world but we are not of the world. The economic difficulty is a fact, but the truth is that we are living on a superior platform. We live on a limitless platform where our God supplies abundantly, even in the midst of scarcity. In the book of 1Kings 17:14 (KJV), Elijah spoke in time of scarcity saying “For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth.” Elijah spoke from the lips of truth in the time of scarcity and God provided for him. He did it for Elijah and He will not change in your time.
Beloved, do not be afraid. Don’t be moved by what you are seeing around you. Your God is bigger than every challenge you are encountering. If God has kept you alive and is still keeping you alive, you will surely eat the good of the land. You will not be stranded. Don’t fret, you are from heaven and the resources of heaven cannot be depleted. “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Phil 4:19 KJV) There is no shortage in heaven. Be confident that God is able to exceed your expectation, and He will.
