YOU ARE NOT A SLAVE: YOU ARE A SON
By Bishop Mike Okonkwo

Tuesday 7th January 2025

“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.” (1 John 3:1 KJV)

It is time to stop behaving like a slave and start acting like the son that you are. Now, for ladies, don’t be intimidated to say that you are a son of God, it is not about gender. The Bible says that to those who believe in Him, He gave power to become sons of God (John 1:12).

While thinking of your position as a son, as simple as it sounds, you will be surprised at how many so-called believers are going about with limitations. They are defeated, frustrated, and continuously under condemnation because they do not believe that they are the sons of God. It is one thing to sing it as a song, it is quite another thing to live and walk daily in the knowledge that you are a son and not a slave.

Slaves have no rights at all and are only permitted to function within the confines of instructions. While sons can use their initiative and function within the confines of ownership. Sons are permitted to make mistakes while operating as sons and still remain sons, while slaves can be discarded at will by their masters.

It was God’s idea and plan to make you a son and not yours. He willingly calls you His son. How does that grab you? Think of it! You are God’s son. Do you understand the full import of that? Get up and dance because it suggests that you are an heir to heaven’s resources. That means that everything about you is covered. It means everything Jesus is, you are! Everything He has, you have. As He is, so you are! “For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren” (Hebrews 2:11 KJV)
Believe it and receive it!
