WHERE ARE YOU SITTING

“And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word.”
Luke 10:39 (KJV)

Our text today is the story of two sisters, Mary and Martha. Martha decided to host Jesus and made all the preparations necessary to host Him. When Jesus arrived, she welcomed Him heartily into her home and made Him feel comfortable. But her sister Mary went to sit at His feet. She had heard so much about this Jesus that she wouldn’t allow this very exceptional moment to pass her by. She wanted to glean as much as possible from this man named Jesus.

On the other hand, Martha was more concerned about the meals, about serving Jesus and His entourage. And there is nothing wrong with that. After all, she was being hospitable and taking care of Jesus. But Jesus made her understand that the most crucial position an individual can ever take was that which Mary chose. That is to sit at the feet of Jesus.

Child of God, I want to ask you today, where are you sitting? Where you sit determines what you hear. What you hear determines what you think. And what you think determines the actions you take, which ultimately determines the results you get. So, where are you sitting? Yes, I know you have to go to work, study thar course, run that business, and do different things, but Jesus says the most important position is at my feet. That is a place of rest! Sit there and listen to the words from His lips. Distractions come when you leave that position. It is the enemy’s ploy in these last days to cause you to lose focus and ensure that you are not positioned to receive from God. Don’t fall to it.

Take a quality decision to sit at His feet. Pay attention to His Word, and I believe without any shadow of a doubt that you will testify. God will give you mind-blowing revelations that will make you a wonder to your world.
