WHAT NAME DO YOU CALL YOUR WIFE?
By Bishop Mike Okonkwo

Sunday 19th March 2023

“Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib, and he brought her to the man. ‘At last!’ the man exclaimed. ‘This one is bone from my bone, and flesh from my flesh! She will be called ‘woman’ because she was taken from ‘man’” Gen 2:22-23 (NLT)

Happy Mother’s Day to all women across the globe. The Lord who has kept you alive to be celebrated will perfect all that concerns you in Jesus’ name. Often, we take celebrating the women around us for granted and that is because we do not understand the fact that his world would not have been as colourful as it is today without the women.

In Gen 2:18, the Lord God announced that He was making a helper who is just right for Adam. This shows that the position of women is to be a help to their husbands. Many men have made women givers when they are receivers. Men are givers, women are receivers. That is God’s design.

In Gen 3:20, after the fall, Adam called his wife’s name ‘Eve’ meaning “living”. He didn’t call her dead. If Adam was like most men, they would have been trading blames and exchanging words thereby aborting the colourful destinies God has packaged for them. But not Adam, rather than trade blames, he spoke life. Child of God, in life, there are challenges, that do not change God’s plan. The fact that they fell did not make the woman bad; women are good.

Therefore, make it a daily routine to celebrate the women God has given to you. As we celebrate Mother’s Day, my prayer for you women is that the Lord that has kept you alive will perfect all that concerns you. I speak into any home that is passing through challenges and difficulties, by the authority of heaven, the voice of the wicked is silenced. Every Single woman who desires to be married; I pray for divine connection for you today in Jesus’ name.

I challenge all husbands to speak into the life of their wives today and watch God bring to pass their desires.
