“But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets” Romans 3:21(KJV)
The death, burial, and resurrection of Christ are the dividing line between the Old Testament and the New Testament.
In the New Testament the rule of engagement changes. The way God related with man before Christ came is different from the way He is relating with man after the death of Christ. In the Old Testament, they lived a life of works in their relationship with God because they operated under the law. You do good, you get good. You do bad, you get bad. Then the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus changed the rule.
The book of Romans 3:19 says: “Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.” (KJV) That is the reason for the law so that every person on the face of this earth may know that they are sinners. The thing that makes you a sinner is not what you do. It is that you were born.
Once you are born by your parents you become a sinner. You are born into sin. That is why you need a Savior. It is the law that shows you sin. It reveals your sin, and that is what it is meant to do: to reveal to you how inadequate you are – to reveal to you how much you have failed and that you can’t make it on your own.
Under the New Covenant, we are always standing right with God, without any sense of fear, inferiority, condemnation, accusation, judgment, reproach, shame, or embarrassment. All because of Jesus.“But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested… even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:” Romans 3:21-22 KJV
The righteousness of God which is by faith is the real deal. Receive the righteousness of God by faith today.
