THE HEAD AND THE BODY ARE ONE
By Bishop Mike Okonkwo

“…because as he is, so are we in this world.” 1 John 4:17b (KJV)

Christ is the head of the body. The Church is the body. The Head and the body are one. You cannot say God sees Christ, the Head, as perfect and His body, the Church, as imperfect. You cannot say that Christ is accepted and His body is rejected. It is not true! The measure of Jesus’ acceptance with God is the measure of your acceptance of God. It is the same measure!

So, anything God says about Christ applies to you. It makes no sense to say the Head is well and the body is sick. If your head is well, it will affect your body. If your head is blessed, your body will be blessed because they are connected. If your head prospers, your body prospers. If your head is an achiever, you are an achiever. If your head has wisdom, you have wisdom because as He is, so are we. Whatever perfection, joy and peace that Jesus brings to the Father’s heart is the same that is put on your account. As He is a sweet-smelling aroma unto the Father, so are you. Whenever the Father sees you, He smells a sweet aroma, not a polluted aroma. You are not polluted in the sight of the Father. The same acceptance that He has for Jesus is the same acceptance that He has for you.

Why are you discounting yourself? Why are you separating yourself? When you see yourself with Him, you will see that whatever your needs are, He is releasing. He is releasing wisdom and riches. He is releasing to you whatever you ask because you cannot be separated from Christ.

Do not let the devil tell you: “You are here, and Jesus is there.” No! You are one with Christ. “But God, who is rich in mercy,… hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) and hath raised us together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:” Ephesians 2:4-6 (KJV). Where he is sitting is where you are sitting.
