THE DEVIL HAS NO POWER OVER YOU

“Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.” Colossians 1:12, 13

The Word of God is true. And whatever God says, He has already done. He is not telling you what He wants to do. He is giving you an insight that it is already perfected. So, believe it! You can stand on the Word. You can stay on it and expect it to produce for you. One of the challenges we face as believers is that the enemy works to get you to doubt God. He wants you to doubt what God has already made you. And as long as he can get you to doubt, then, he has got you.

What the devil has is what is called wiles (deception). When Jesus died on the cross, the scripture is very clear, it says in Colossians 2:15 that He spoiled principalities and powers. He made a show of them. He made a public disgrace of them. He humiliated and ridiculed the devil. Through His death, burial and resurrection, He took the power. So, right now, the devil has no power. Jesus has declared: “All power in heaven and in earth is given unto me” (Matthew 28:18). So, what does the devil have? Deception! Wiles! And he can only deceive you when you are ignorant.
That is why the need to know is important. No wonder God speaking through His prophet said in the last days, knowledge shall increase. (Daniel 12:4) Why? Because in the last days there will be so much deception. So, the need to know comes to the fore. You cannot afford to be ignorant. If the devil can succeed in making you ignorant of what rightfully belongs to you, then he doesn’t need to fight, you will already be in his net.
