TAKE CARE OF YOUR HEALTH

“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” 3 John 2 (KJV)
God’s paramount desire for you as a believer is the prosperity and health of your spirit, soul and body. He desires that every part of your body should function in the perfection He created. When an individual is sick, everything is put on hold for that period to treat the body. Man is a spirit being, but our bodies give us the license to function here on earth. The body is the vehicle through which you fulfil God’s plan and purpose. And so, proper care and attention must be given to the body.
The problem with many believers is that they tend to spiritualise everything, even their health. And anyone taking care of their health is seen as lacking in faith. But I want you to set aside that notion. Yes, prayers, fasting, and declaring the word over our lives in the area of our health are vitally important, but it is important to act according to what you are declaring. You cannot declare one thing and act another. It doesn’t work that way. The Bible says faith without works is dead (James 2:26). When we stand in faith, we must act according to what we believe.
Beloved, take care of your health and don’t take things for granted. Do not only pray and declare the Word but also make sure that you educate yourself on the importance of taking care of your body. As you do your part, I pray your health will not fail. Sickness and disease will not come near you. You will walk in divine health. Sickness will not cut your life short. Sickness, disease and afflictions will have no dwelling place in your body. The price has been fully paid for you to enjoy good health. “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes, we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5 KJV)
