SUBMIT TO THE CHURCH SYSTEM

“As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.” Act 13:2-3
I have not seen where the bible says fasting is wrong. It is not wrong. However, fasting doesn’t change God, it changes you. “As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said …” (Acts13:2). There is something about fasting that refreshes and positions you. There is something about fasting that makes you see clearly than you have ever seen. Remember that grace supplies but faith takes. But faith cannot take what you have not seen. You have to see it to take it. So the Holy Ghost said “Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them”. And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away. Barnabas and Saul belonged to a church, a system, a commission and they were fasting and praying.
Some believers just get up and disappear into the thin air and the next thing is: “I have started a church!” And you say the Holy Ghost told you. The Holy Ghost told you nothing. You lied! God is not an author of confusion. He desires everything to be done decently and in order and call to ministry is not different. When God calls, He uses established leaders to confirm it. When He called Paul and Barnabas, He spoke clearly to the Church and they were released. Stop jumping from place to place, submit yourself under the mighty hand of God and He will lift you up. Even Jesus, before he stepped out, had to submit to the ministry of John the Baptist.
No matter how anointed you feel you are, don’t jump out of the boat, lest the devil takes advantage of you. Submit to a Church system, let your Pastor pray for you and release you; and also stay under covering, God is respects authority.
