SPEAK WHAT YOU BELIEVE

“We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;” 2 Corinthians 4:13 (KJV)
Every believer has the spirit of faith. God gave you the spirit of faith the day you were born again. So, when the enemy begins to tell you that it is not working, open your mouth and speak what you believe. That is how to hold fast to your profession (Hebrews 4:14). The devil will surely speak to you. But don’t let the devil have the final say. Speak up! Find the promise, then you pray and declare it before the devil. And keep on saying it!
Every time the devil speaks, get up and speak also. If he speaks once when you are sleeping or lying down, get up and say it seven times against one of his words. You must learn to speak back! We are used to speaking to God in prayers, but you must also learn to speak back to the devil whenever he comes to tell you negative things.
Secondly, speak to things and situations. Holdfast! Don’t let the devil have the last say in your life, health, marriage, business, or any area of life. It is not enough to say you believe. You must open your mouth and speak your faith. Speak it out. Never close your mouth. “… But though our outward man perishes, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.” (2 Corinthians 4:16 KJV). In other words, when it looks as though everything around you is falling apart, don’t worry; you are getting stronger inside. The enemy is trying to make you look weak by the things he is throwing at you.
“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;” (2 Corinthians 4:17 KJV). God sees the things the enemy throws at you as light afflictions. They are just for a season in your life. They will come and go! Therefore, keep standing! And keep declaring your faith!
