SPEAK LIFE
By Bishop Mike Okonkwo

Monday 5th August 2024

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” Proverbs 18:21 (KJV)

You must never stop declaring your expectations because the verdict is yours. If there is any time to hold on to the confession of your faith, it is now. Now is the time to stand your ground until you see the manifestation of your desires. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. This is not the time to give up and say: “Oh, I have prayed, and nothing is happening.”

You don’t judge answers to prayers based on whether there is a physical manifestation or not. That is a wrong assessment! God is a Spirit! And we, His children, are made up of spirit, soul and body. In the Spirit realm, you have your answers. What you need to do is to bring it from the realm of the Spirit into the physical. And you do that with your mouth.

You will always eat the fruit of your lips. But the type of fruit you eat depends on what you speak. If you speak death-filled words, then don’t expect anything to work. But if your words are filled with life and your words are filled with blessings, then that is what you will possess. You should declare God’s goodness and favour upon your life on a daily basis.

The book of Genesis 1:1-3 says: “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.” There was a change only because God spoke His expectations rather than what he saw at the time.

What are you saying? Are you speaking words of recovery, or are you going according to your circumstances? Don’t shut your mouth. You should keep speaking until you take delivery of all your expectations.
