RUN WITH DIVINE INSTRUCTIONS
By Bishop Mike Okonkwo

Monday 21st October 2024

“Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word, I will let down the net.” Luke 5:4-5 KJV

When Jesus stopped speaking, He commanded Simon to return to the same place where he laboured without result. What type of instruction is that? You see, sometimes, the directives from the word of God don’t make sense. If you want to understand it with your mind, you will fail. The word is spirit, and the word is life. The word addresses your spirit.

Simon did not understand the instructions; nevertheless, he chose to obey. Simon had toiled all night without results because Jesus wasn’t involved. It will become toiling whenever you are involved in anything that has nothing to do with Jesus. But the situation changes once Jesus is involved.

Peter said, “Nevertheless, at thy word, I will let down the net.” In other words, It didn’t make sense! But because you’ve spoken it, we will do it. Now, see the blessings of running with Divine instructions. “And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships so that they began to sink.” (Luke 5:6-7 KJV)

Child of God, get ready; it will rain again in your desert. It will rain again because of your covenant relationship with God. Your story will never end in shame. You will never lack what to eat. You will have the resources needed to train your children. You will stand out at the cutting edge. Your health will not fail you. You will not die! You will not be a failure in life. The dream of detractors will not come true. Your lips will testify because the hand of God is mighty upon you. His purpose shall be accomplished in every area of your life.
