REST IN THE FINISHED WORK

“There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.” Hebrews 4:9
God has never been, neither will He ever be in trouble. Let me ask you a question. Do you think that God is in heaven scratching His head, thinking of how He’s going to make His children on earth survive; or saying, how am I going to help my children to make it through their challenges? Nonsense! The last time I checked, He is sitting down. He is still relaxed. You know why? He has your past, present and future covered already.
Ephesians 1:3 says you have been blessed with all spiritual blessings. 2 Peter 1:2 says “Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge …” You see that? Knowledge! It is through this knowledge that the just shall be delivered. “…Through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord”. Many say they believe in God, they believe in Jesus, but they don’t really know how He functions. Some see Him as a taskmaster, some see Him as the one taking from us. No! He says grace and peace (shalom: meaning nothing missing, nothing broken) be multiplied. How? Through knowledge! When you truly have the knowledge of God that created you and His Son that has paid the price on your behalf, you can face any challenge that comes your way.
So, stop thinking that God is worried about how to fix the situation in your life. No, He is not. He is still on the throne and He is laughing; not the nor disturbed. So, if your heavenly Father is not disturbed, why are you worried? If He is laughing, why are you crying?
For two consecutive years, God gave us “REST” as the theme of Kingdom Life World Conference. You know what God is teaching us? He is teaching us to rest on the finished work of Christ on Calvary. Jesus did a perfect job; completely complete and perfectly perfect. That is why I can look you in the face and tell you that the current challenge you are facing will not swallow you. You are coming out of it in Jesus’ Name. I bless you.
