REJOICE ALWAYS

“The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.” Psalms 119:130 (KJV)

The entrance of the Word of God is what gives light and understanding. And when revelation comes you have power. When your eyes are opened, you have power. When you have understanding, you can develop the mentality of victory. When you have understanding, it will ultimately affect how you conduct yourself, wherever you find yourself. Whether you choose to rejoice or otherwise is predicated on the amount of light you have. Apostle Paul wrote to the church in Thessalonica and said: “Rejoice evermore” (1Thessalonians 5:16 KJV). Hallelujah! Rejoice, even amid the challenge. Rejoice no matter what! Only believers whose eyes of understanding had been enlightened can rejoice always. Child of God, if the devil can succeed in taking away your joy, he will rob you of your peace. And if you lose your peace, you will be in trouble for then the enemy will toss you here and there.

There is always something to rejoice about. Don’t listen to the lies of the devil. The fact that you are still around is enough reason to rejoice. The fact that you can still fellowship with your family is enough reason to rejoice. If you can at least afford a meal today, that is something to rejoice about. If you have a roof over your head, you have something to rejoice about. The fact that you are saved, sanctified, and filled with the Holy Ghost are enough reasons to rejoice.

In verse 18 of the book of 1 Thessalonians chapter 5, Apostle Paul went further to declare: “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”. Notice that the scripture doesn’t, say give thanks for everything. No! It says in every condition, in everything, give thanks…This is the will of God for the believer in Christ Jesus. Some people only want to give thanks for everything when it is good. No!

The Father said, “in everything”. Why? Everything is under control. The situation is under control. It has not taken God by surprise.
