KNOW YOUR RIGHT
Dr. Mike Okonkwo07 January 2020″The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what the hope of his calling is, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints”, Ephesians 1:18 KJVBeloved, the game has changed and so we have to change our dance steps. You have to begin to leverage your position in Christ. Don’t just declare the year of all grace without a clear understanding of what grace has made available to you. I have said it over time, and it bears repetition, faith takes what grace has made available. So, know your rights. Apostle Paul praying for the church in our scripture today, prayed for the eyes of their understanding to be enlightened, that they may know … Don’t join the church and just be excited, clapping hands and you don’t have information. The oil well of today is mind power.According to the book of Isaiah 32:17: “And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance forever.”(KJV) Notice that the scripture doesn’t say there will be anxiety, it says righteousness shall produce peace. Therefore, the clarity of understanding your place in God drives off anxiety. The scripture also says the “effect of righteousness is quietness and assurance forever”. What does that mean? It means to go to bed; all is well! Then in the book of Isaiah 54:17, the Word of God says it is your covenant right as a Kingdom citizen to open your mouth and begin to condemn whatever the enemy is saying that negates what God is saying about you. It is our right because you belong to the family. It is your heritage! When you see the devil raging and roaring like a lion, open your mouth and declare the Word. Say something! Faith is released by words through your mouth. When you wake up in the morning, don’t focus on the challenges around you, rather remind yourself of the goodness of God. “Lord I thank you because you love me. You have loved me with an everlasting love. And perfect love cast out fear. Thank you for giving me access to your presence. In you, my provision is guaranteed”. When you function this way, it produces peace. It is my prayer that throughout this year and beyond, you will enjoy His peace.Further Reading: Psalm 34:1-22, Psalm 16:5-6
