JESUS DOES NOT DISCRIMINATE

“Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? For the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.”
John 4:9 KJV
It was very important that Jesus had to go through Samaria. There were other routes He could have taken, but it was necessary for Him to go through Samaria.
Beloved, God will, on purpose, move towards your direction, having seen the challenges you have been through. That is one thing I love about Jesus. He relates with the small and the big. It is wrong, therefore, for you to discount yourself from anything. There is no single individual that He doesn’t know about. The Jews had no dealings with the Samaritans. But Jesus is not bound by tradition or gender discrimination?
Jesus Christ doesn’t get Himself mixed up with rejecting people. He mixes up freely with anyone. That is what grace does. Grace enables you to worship God freely without any inhibition. You are not bound by legal rules. You are just happy that Jesus is with you. Jesus doesn’t run down those who are already down. In John chapter 4, the Samaritan woman had been battered and abused by people but here comes Jesus ready to associate with her. That is why He is called a friend of sinners. I am so glad He is not like today’s church that will discriminate. Those of us who are people of grace are supposed to accommodate every person.
I wonder what you would do if a lady walks through your church assembly wearing skimpy dresses. I know that some of you would change your seat. This woman expected to be discriminated against. But she was shocked that Jesus was there sitting and discussing freely and openly with her. Just think of the people, you have passed by on the street, sat together with in the same airplane or passed by in the market that you didn’t want to talk to. So be like Jesus today, full of grace, and be free to relate with all men of different creed and race.
