HOLD ON TO THE WORD OF GOD
By Bishop Mike Okonkwo

Thursday 12th September 2024

“…that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.” Deuteronomy 8:3 (KJV)

In every shaking, some are lifted, and some fall. The will of God is that no matter the shaking, the believer will be lifted. The glory is already available, but it is only for some people. It is for those building their lives upon the infallible word of God. The shaking is on, but God doesn’t want you to go with the shaking. Instead, God wants you to rise above the shaking.

Rising above every shaking requires that you take your stand on the errorless and impregnable word of God. The word of God will establish you and keep you strong in the face of adversity. Nothing else will suffice.

Jesus quoted from the above scripture to show us that He was also feeding from the Word. When Satan came against him, He knew where to hold on to stand. The choice is yours! You can choose what to hold on to in times of adversity.

In the book of Deuteronomy 30:19, the Bible says: “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:” (KJV). In other words, God is saying the choice is yours. You can choose what you will hold on to in the face of challenges.

If you want to enjoy the good of the land, you have to make the right choice. When you choose to stand on the word irrespective of your circumstances, you make the right choice that will bear fruit in your life. Remember what Jesus said about His word: “Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.” (Mark 13:31 KJV). Everything you need is in the Word. Keep standing on the word until your desires manifest!
