GOD IS WITH YOU
By Bishop Mike Okonkwo

Sunday 1st December 2024

“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Hebrews 13:5 (KJV)

Today is the 1st day of the last month of the year. It is of the Lord’s mercy that we are not consumed. I pray that as you have seen this day with joy, you will end this year rejoicing in Jesus’ name.

Everyone is preparing for Christmas. The decorations are coming up already, and holidays are in the air. All this is good, but it is also time to prepare for the coming year.

As this year rolls away, there is a tendency for you to give up in an area where you think God can no longer come through. You have folded the prayer request and put it on the shelf; as far as you are concerned, that is the end. But I come to you today to remind you that your dream is valid. That thing that you seek is still possible. Don’t give up.

Our scripture for today reminds us that we have a promise from the Father NEVER to leave us. If God is with you, what can stand against you? The fact that God is with you proves that everything is working for your good. All the dreams and desires that seem delayed are coming to pass. Know that God is never late. His time is still the best. His thoughts of you are thoughts of good and not evil to give you a bright and glorious future. Dream bigger and trust God as you enlarge your tents. The coming year will be greater and better for you.

So, take time off this month to review the year and sincerely thank God for the goodness you have enjoyed, then prayerfully ask Him for His plan for the coming year. Don’t go into 2025 with hits and misses; be intentional. Yes, it is the last month of 2024, but this is the best time to set the tone for 2025. Schedule a time with yourself and God and go into His presence to receive instructions from His mouth. Write down everything God drops in your spirit and pray. Be intentional about the coming year and prepare for greater and mightier things. It will come to pass.
