GOD IS NEVER LATE
By Bishop Mike Okonkwo

“As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, be not afraid, only believe.” Mark 5:36 (KJV)

Jairus, a religious ruler, came to call Jesus when his daughter was at the point of death. He wanted Jesus to lay hands on her so that she would be healed and not die. Jesus said I will go with you. And on their way, a woman who had the issue of blood for twelve years interrupted. For 12 years, doctors could not help her. Money had failed! Everything had collapsed! Family and friends could not help her. But she believed. She said: ‘If I touch His garments, I shall be made whole. I don’t even need prayers. All I need is to believe”. Look at such faith! ‘Let me just touch this man, they said, heals the sick and casts out devils. I believe that I shall be whole. She must have said: “I believe this will be the last prayer meeting I will attend without having a testimony”.

She touched His garment, and she was made whole. The people around didn’t know that something powerful had happened. Believe me with God, and she was healed instantly.

At this point, a report came to Jairus that his daughter had died. People around him said it was too late. Nothing can be done! It cannot be too late when Jesus is involved in your case. That is one of the things you must understand. He is involved in your situation, and whatever touches you touches him. We do not have a high priest who cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmity. He knows what you are going through. Jesus said to Jairus: “Fear not”!

Beloved, do not let what people have said or what you are experiencing create fear in you. I only want you to believe God. Your belief will keep that miracle going. But if you stop believing, you will abort the miracle. Though the situation looks bleak and the report says it has failed, believe. Jarius believed, and he received his daughter back to life.
