GIVE ME MY MOUNTAIN
By Bishop Mike Okonkwo

4th September 2024

“Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the LORD will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the LORD said. And Joshua blessed him, and gave unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh Hebron for an inheritance” Joshua 14:12-13 (KJV)

Though the world is going through the cup of trembling, the word of God is settled in Heaven forever. That is good news for you as a child of God because whatever has been promised of God for your life shall come to pass. Forty years after the promise of an inheritance was promised Caleb, he came to lay claim unto it, saying: Give me this mountain.

Beloved, you can say with all assurances, ‘Give me my mountain’. Your mountains are the dreams, visions, desires, and the things God has promised you in His word. Your mountains are good health, your robust relationship with God and your family, and your plans in God according to what He has laid in your heart as you seek Him in prayers and in worship daily.

Your mountain is yours because God has called you to glory ever before you were born. God told Prophet Jeremiah that before he (Jeremiah) was formed or conceived in his mother’s womb, He had already ordained him as a prophet to the nations. (Jeremiah 1:5). So, the prophetic was Jeremiah’s Mountain. And God further told him not to say he was young.

Take your mountain today as Caleb did. Insist on it in your spirit and your being as you serve the Lord daily. Whether male or female, your family background notwithstanding, and regardless of your current state of failure or success, there is a mountain that is higher than you that God has made available to you. You need to cooperate with God to take the mountain. Whether young or seemingly old, make a quality decision today to take the mountain.
