FROM EVIL DAY TO GOOD DAY
By Bishop Mike Okonkwo

Tuesday 20th December 2022

“As the days wherein the Jews rested from their enemies, and the month which was turned unto them from sorrow to joy, and from mourning into a good day: that they should make them days of feasting and joy, and of sending portions one to another, and gifts to the poor.” Esther 9:22 (KJV)

Are you going through a challenging season in your life? Are you faced with a life-threatening situation right now? Is the devil closing in on you and you seem hopeless and helpless? If that is you, blow your nose and dry your tears, get ready for a supernatural turnaround.

In the book of Esther, Haman was a mortal enemy of the Jews and he had received authorization from the King to exterminate all the Jews in the land of Shushan between Ethiopia and India in a particular day. This was done according to the laws of Medes and Persia that could not be changed.

Take time to read the story in Esther 3:12-15. It was a day of mourning and a day of sorrow. The Jews thought that they had no chance. However, God was working for His covenant children behind the scenes. The God that we serve is still alive today and He is working for us (Malachi 3:6) ‘’ For I am the Lord I change not; therefore, ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.”

What He did before, He can do today; because Mordecai and Esther rested in God Haman was hung in the very gallows that he constructed for Mordecai (Esther 7:10). It did not end there; the King also allowed Queen Esther and Mordecai to issue a counter-decree to allow the Jews to defend themselves and destroy their enemies on the same day evil was planned for them. Their evil day was turned to a good day, a day of joy. Get ready for your turnaround.

We are a few days to the end of the year, but it is more than enough time for a turnaround. Stand in faith and never give up, God is turning it around for you. This year will end in praise in Jesus’ name.
