FIND TIME TO SIT AT HIS FEET

“But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:42 (KJV)
Today, I want to encourage you always to find time to sit at the Master’s feet. Beloved, these are not the days to be careless about how you live your life. You must have a place where you sit down to glean from and receive from Him; otherwise, the enemy will take advantage of you. There is so much happening in the society today. And all these things are the enemy’s tricks to keep you from sitting. If the enemy can keep you from sitting down to receive from God, then he has got you because it is only from God that you receive hope, faith, strength, and courage for everyday living.
Everything is fast-paced today. We wake up and leave for work early, only to return late. The weekends are included; they are just as busy. We are often burdened with work, classes, children, and family. And the list goes on. However, in the midst of all this, you must find time to sit at the feet of Jesus. Make it a point of duty to do so. There is absolutely no substitute for this.
In Him, we live, move and have our being. Outside Him, we are non-existent. Thank God for technology! Now, we have various resources: the devotional app, the bible app, podcasts, and others, all at the touch of a button. So, you have no excuse. Remember what Jesus told Martha: “……. thou art careful and troubled about many things: but one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part…” (Luke 10:41-42 KJV). One thing is needful! As believers, we must incline our ears to His word.
God has all the answers you need to whatever life throws at you. Therefore, make a quality decision to sit at His feet. Don’t put God on your schedule or timetable; Martha probably did. According to her, food should have been served before everything else. But Jesus thought otherwise. He is the sovereign God!
