FILL YOUR WORLD
By Bishop Mike Okonkwo

Saturday 18th January 2025

“Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.” (John 12:3 KJV)

Some believers are extremely uncomfortable around sinners, yet we are sent to sinners. We refuse and resent the very people we are sent to. We despise the very people for whom we build our large auditoriums and cathedrals. No wonder we cannot fill the Churches. If every one of us ministers to a sinner, our churches will be filled. The truth is people have problems and they need Christ. They don’t have to see God physically. Jesus said if you have seen me, you have seen the Father. So once they see you, they should see Jesus, because you are a carrier of Jesus everywhere you go – He is inside you.

When Mary came to Jesus with the alabaster box of ointment, the religious people only knew her as a sinner and so they turned up their noses because they did not recognize what she was carrying. When she broke the box, she did not have to announce the content, the aroma filled the room. Everyone knew immediately that she was carrying an expensive ointment. They stopped talking about her and started talking about the aroma.

From this moment onwards, you are going to fill the room. You are going to fill your world, and people will talk about the treasure inside you. Hitherto, they have disregarded you, rejected you, abandoned you and called you a-nobody, but God says you will be celebrated because of what you are carrying. They will look for you. They looked for Daniel, they will look for you. They looked for Joseph, they will look for you. Anywhere you go, they will look for you. Laban will look for you. Potiphar will look for you. The government will look for you. The business world will look for you. The dream job will look for you. Anywhere you go, you will no longer be ignored because of the heavy load you are carrying.
