CHOOSE RIGHT

“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live”. Deuteronomy 30:19
I have found out that one of the greatest gifts God has given to humanity is the gift of choice. God respects your choice. He will not violate your choice. That is why He will not force you to be saved; even though He knows the repercussion of refusing the Lordship of Jesus, yet, He can’t force you to be saved. Even though He paid the full price for your redemption and it hurts Him to see you go to hell; if you do not voluntarily accept Him into your life, He cannot force His salvation on you. John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” There is always a “whosoever”.
In life, there is always a pull upwards, to maximize and become all that God intends for you to be, and there is also a downward pull; to ridicule you, to disgrace you, to humiliate you and to destroy your destiny. But the good news is that, the choice you make is what determines whether you go up or come down.
In our text today, God says, I have set before you life and death. But then, He tells you the right way to go, but never makes the decision for you. That’s how God functions! But the devil will force you, push you and harass you until you make the wrong choice. Unfortunately, many people do not like to take responsibility. They rather want God to do everything for them.
Just like in Genesis, God blessed man, so also in Christ He has blessed us. That means you have been empowered to succeed in whatever you do. You don’t have any material for failure. Whatever you declare over your life will come to pass.
