“Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power…” Hebrews 1:3 (KJV)
Everything is held up by the Word of God. If the word is taken out, everything will dematerialize and will fall apart. That’s how important the word is. So, I challenge you today, if there is anything you should anchor your life on, it is the word. Our warfare today is the warfare of sticking to the word- the promise.
Our warfare is the warfare of standing on God’s word. No matter what comes against us, no matter what bombards us, no matter the pressure we are under, no matter how hopeless the situation is, the warfare is to stand and know that God hastens his word to perform it. To stand on the word is to believe the word no matter how impossible it looks. Just believe in the word. Stop acting as if you are the one to bring the word to pass. The onus lies on Him who spoke the word to bring it to pass; the onus is not on you. Your part is to stand on the word. If you stand, it will be fulfilled.
Ephesians 6:10-11 Paul writing to the church at Ephesus said, be strong in the Lord, and the power of his might, put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Then he went further to say, having done all, to stand! Just stand on the word and you will experience the power of God. You have been well equipped by God for every situation. Your loins are fortified by truth, you have the breastplate of righteousness, your feet are shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace, you have the shield of faith, you have the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God. In addition to that, you must always pray with all prayers and supplications in the Spirit. You have all those things in place and all you need to do is stand and watch with all perseverance and supplications for all saints. With this, you can never fail.
